Foundation showed at Coopercitrus Expo how sustainability generates value in the field Credit: Disclosure. From July 27th to 31st, the Coopercitrus Credicitrus Coperfam Foundation (FCCC) opened the gates in Bebedouro (SP) for the 27th Coopercitrus Expo, an edition that marked Coopercitrus' 50th anniversary. In addition to hosting the fair, the Foundation presented initiatives aimed at sustainability applied to rural properties. At the stand and in the field areas, producers found guidance on environmental regularization, reforestation projects, recovery of springs, native, fruit and ornamental seedlings, training courses and showcases of new crops, such as cocoa, coffee and citrus. Reforestation, carbon and environmental regularization One of the highlights of FCCC's participation in the fair was the reforestation project developed in partnership with Banco do Brasil and Carbonext, aimed at environmental restoration. During the fair, the Foundation's technical team received registrations of interest from producers who wanted to participate in the initiative. At the stand, it was possible to understand the project rules, evaluate the property's framework and learn about the next steps for joining. "Producers who need to recover areas or have an environmental deficit on their property find a technical and viable path at the Foundation. Guidance begins with the registration of interest, goes through the assessment of the area and continues with appropriate planning for each reality", stated Marcelo Bassi, technical consultant at FCCC. The initiative was added to the work already carried out by the Cooper Nascentes and CooperSemear projects, which work to recover springs, Permanent Preservation Areas and degraded areas. Since 2020, Cooper Nascentes has restored more than 1,100 springs, with an estimated recovery of 12.7 million liters of water per day. Cooper Semear totaled 436 hectares reforested, with 294 thousand native seedlings planted. In 2025, the Foundation's nursery produced 180 thousand seedlings, including native, fruit and ornamental species. During Coopercitrus Expo, visitors were also able to purchase seedlings produced in the nursery, with guidance from the team on planting, management and choosing the most suitable species for each purpose. "The difference lies in technical assistance. A forestry engineer evaluates the property, indicates the restoration model, defines spacing and species, and accompanies the producer throughout the process", explained Bóris A. Wiazowski, sustainability consultant at Coopercitrus. Cocoa, canephora coffee and citrus in real field conditions The Foundation's technological showcases were open for visits throughout the Coopercitrus Expo, with internal transport to the field areas. In the cocoa showcase, in the initial phase of implementation, the producer followed two cultivation models evaluated for the region: full sun and shade. In the shaded system, the banana was already planted as a shade crop, next to the wind barriers, which allowed us to observe spacing, varieties and the interval between banana planting and the entry of cocoa seedlings. “Cocoa has potential and has been receiving investment in the State of São Paulo. In the showcase, the producer can see in practice how each step takes place before deciding whether the crop makes sense for the property", highlighted Bassi. The Foundation also kept coffee areas open to visitors and prepared the expansion of the canephora coffee showcase. In the citrus area, the producer learned about combinations of rootstocks and scions of orange and Tahiti lemon, as well as demonstration areas with technologies and solutions from partner companies. Training and analyzes to make better decisions At the FCCC stand, the producer also learned about professional courses carried out in partnership with Etec and Fatec, as a Technician in Agribusiness, Maintenance of Heavy Machinery and Big Data in Agribusiness, in addition to the drone operator course in partnership with Campo Digital Coopercitrus. For 2026, there was also the programming of different Technical Circuits for different crops. Another service presented at the property. fair was the Soil and Leaf Analysis Laboratory. In 2025, the laboratory analyzed 17,121 soil, leaf and fruit samples, supporting producers in soil correction, more efficient use of fertilizers and reducing operational costs. By visiting the FCCC stand during Coopercitrus Expo, producers were able to register interest in reforestation projects, buy seedlings, learn about the courses available and visit the Foundation's technological showcases.
