Among the nonconformities found were food with damaged packaging, unidentified products and goods with irregular information about expiration and traceability. The team also identified discrepancies in product prices, with differences between the values ??reported on shelves, optical readers and cashiers. According to the agency, the practice may constitute misleading advertising. Furthermore, the inspectors found the absence of mandatory consumer information and posters required by law, accessibility flaws, expired health permits and out-of-valid certificates of approval from the Military Fire Department, among other irregularities that, according to MP-Procon, violate consumer protection and defense standards. The Public Ministry did not disclose the names of the supermarkets charged. According to the agency, the infraction notices were drawn up with a guarantee of contradictory proceedings and full defense, as provided for by legislation.
