Photo: Disclosure/Semef Taxpayers in Manaus who opted to pay the Urban Property and Territorial Tax (IPTU) 2026 in installments must pay the fifth installment of the tax by this Wednesday (15). According to Semef's Undersecretary of Revenue, Arminio Pontes, keeping taxes up to date benefits both the taxpayer and the municipality. "IPTU is one of the main sources of the municipality's own revenue and returns to the population in the form of investments and public services. Furthermore, taxpayers who keep their tax up to date continue to be able to participate in the IPTU Premiado draws, an initiative that recognizes those who fulfill their tax obligations. Those who use the digital booklet on the Manaus Atende app also have the advantage of obtaining a 2% discount on each installment paid within the deadline. Therefore, we recommend that the fifth installment be paid by the due date", stated the undersecretary.
