Festa do Peão de Barretos launches riding program The Festa do Peão de Barretos will have around R$30 million worth of works and improvements at Parque do Peão for the 2026 edition, according to the organization. Investments include expanding boxes, renovating access, improving mobility, technologically modernizing the arena and expanding the accommodation and services infrastructure. The 71st edition will be held from August 20th to 30th, in Barretos (SP). According to Os Independentes, the association organizing the event, the interventions began last year and were designed to improve circulation and public permanence in the park. "The objective is to improve the visitor experience at all ends. Quality programming needs to be supported by an excellent infrastructure to contribute to the total satisfaction of the public that attends us", stated Jeronimo Luiz Muzeti, president of Os Independentes. Among the works is the expansion of the stadium's premium area, with two new boxes totaling 1,600 square meters. The Premium Arena Box will also receive permanent fixed coverage, replacing the temporary structures used in previous editions. According to the organization, more than 10 thousand square meters of paving are being replaced with interlocking flooring. The main entrance is also undergoing changes to improve the flow of vehicles and pedestrians. The arena will also have a new structure for transmitting images, replays and shows. The old central LED panel, suspended in the middle of the arena and weighing 9 tons, will be replaced by a structure capable of supporting up to 35 tons. Camping will have cabins and new bathrooms The camping area, one of the most popular among those who stay in Parque do Peão during the festival days, will also receive new features in 2026. According to the organization, the space will have a new accommodation area with cabins installed within the complex. The construction of new masonry bathrooms with air conditioning and access renovations are also underway. New features from 2025, such as the beauty salon, laundry and gourmet area will be maintained. According to Pedro Muzetti, cultural director of Festa do Peão, the space will have special projects and exclusive attractions. “There are artists who will not perform in other places at the party and will only perform at the campsite. This shows how much we are investing in this space", he said. According to the organization, the changes are part of a plan to modernize the park to serve to the public, competitors, artists, support teams and professionals who work during the 11 days of the event. In addition to the works, the Festa do Peão will have a sports program with around 3,500 competitors, nine disciplines and more than R$ 1.5 million in prizes in the rodeo. In the cultural part, the schedule will have more than 50 shows.
