Knives allegedly used in the death of a child in Amazonas were seized. Disclosure/PC-AM A child identified as Raelyson da Silva, aged 6, died after being injured by a knife, this Saturday (18), in Itapiranga, in the interior of Amazonas. The boy's father, who is 24 years old and whose identity has not been disclosed, was arrested in the act and is suspected of causing his son's death. According to the Civil Police, the case was handled by teams from the 38th Interactive Police Station (DIP) of Itapiranga, with support from the Military Police, after the child was admitted to a hospital. Initially, the father informed the police that Raelyson had fallen on a knife. Later, however, he presented another version. ? Join the g1 AM channel on WhatsApp In testimony, he stated that he tried to punish his son for supposed disobedience and hit him with a backpack, without remembering that there were two knives stored inside it, used on a fishing trip the day before. Upon impact, one of the knives pierced the boy's back, and he succumbed to his injuries. In view of the elements gathered during the investigations, the man was charged with qualified homicide. The Civil Police reported that the circumstances of the case are still being investigated. The police authority also represented the conversion of the flagrant arrest into preventive detention and the transfer of the suspect to a prison unit in Itacoatiara.
