Receive news from g1 Pará directly on WhatsApp 'Belém is the origin of everything' Show "Fafá de Belém, the Musical' Disclosure / Nill Caniné For the singer, the season in Belém carries a unique symbolism. In an interview with g1, Fafá de Belém shared the feeling of seeing her story told on the stage of Theatro da Paz, in front of an audience that shares life references. “Belém is the origin of everything what this musical tells. It was in Pará that I learned to listen to the world, to sing, to have faith and to recognize the strength of the Amazon. This formation runs through my life and is present in the show, in the Círio, in the enchantments, in the music, in the women, in the joy and courage of our people", he says. "Taking this story to Theatro da Paz, in front of those who know these references from the inside, has a very particular emotion for me. Belém is not just the city that hosts the musical. It’s the place that gives truth to everything that’s on stage.” The artist also praised the sensitivity of the creative team, which features text and musical script by Gustavo Gasparani and Eduardo Rieche, research by Rodrigo Faour, artistic direction by Gasparani and creation by Jô Santana. For her, the way the cast leads the story does not fall into caricatures. “Gustavo Gasparani and Eduardo Rieche, with Rodrigo Faour's research, had the courage not to tell my life the easy way. The script is not limited to organizing dates, songs and events. It reveals choices, ruptures, affections and everything that formed the woman and the artist", describes Fafá. "Lucinha Lins, Helga Nemeczyk, Laura Saab and Clarah Passos do not try to reproduce the same Fafá. Each one finds, with their strength and sensitivity, a different time in this trajectory. What they do on stage is not imitation, it is creation. I recognize myself without seeing myself repeated. This requires intelligence, freedom and immense respect for the story being told.” Narrative in three periods and four actresses Show "Fafá de Belém, the Musical' Divulgação / Nill Caniné The dramatic structure of the musical is divided into three distinct temporal planes that intertwine: The present: focused on behind the scenes of the recording of a documentary in honor of Fafá's 50-year career, set at Theatro da Paz itself; Childhood memories: rescuing the legends, myths and mystical imagination of the Amazon; Building a career: the journey of the young woman from Pará who left Belém to achieve national and international recognition. To bring these different phases to life, four actresses share the main role. Fafá's granddaughter, Laura Saab, shares the singer's childhood interpretation with Clarah Passos. The adult phase and professional consolidation is the responsibility of Helga Nemeczyk, while the renowned actress Lucinha Lins takes on the role of representing Fafá today. From cabocla ancestry to national stardom Show 'Fafá de Belém, the Musical' Disclosure / Nill Caniné The show is divided into two well-defined acts. The first act takes an emotional dive into the universe of Pará. Elements of Amazonian folklore, such as the legends of Cobra Grande, Boto and Tamba-Tajá, help illustrate Fafá's childhood. The regional identity is reinforced by the "Carimbó-Siriá" choir, composed of actors and musicians. This block also addresses her relationship with musician Raul Mascarenhas and her deep devotion to Our Lady of Nazaré. The soundtrack of the first act features classics such as "Amazônia", "Pauapixuna", "Bom Dia Belém", "Foi Assim", "Eu Preciso Aprendir a Ser Só", "Sedução", "Filho da Bahia", "Cavalgada", "Que Me Venha Esse Homem", "Eu Sou de Lá" and "Ave Maria". The second act follows the consecration of Fafá de Belém on the national scene. The script highlights notable episodes in his public career, such as his active participation in the Diretas Já movement, the historic defense of the LGBTQIA+ community, his strong cultural connection with Portugal and his subsequent return to his roots with the acclaimed tecnobrega album. In this second part, the public will be rocked by unforgettable hits such as "Abandonada", "Meu Homem", "Memórias", "Sob Medida", "Nem à Paredes Confesso", "Emoriô", "Coração do Agreste", "Bilhete" and "Nuvens de Lágrimas". The end of the show is a true apotheosis to the sound of "Vermelho", with visual and rhythmic references to Boi-Bumbá de Parintins. After saying goodbye to the public in Pará, the national tour of the musical will travel to São Luís (MA), with performances from August 20th to 30th, and Belo Horizonte (MG), on September 18th and 19th.
