There were around 230 guests at the party. At least 11 people were injured and were treated by teams from the city hall, the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) and the Fire Department. ? Belém City Hall reported that it is monitoring the case and providing assistance to the victims while awaiting the technical assessment of the structure. The establishment operates in a historic mansion on Rua Siqueira Mendes, close to Casa das Onze Janelas and Complexo Feliz Lusitânia. In addition to the façade on land, the rear part of the property is built on stilts, facing the bay. The family is now demanding that the owner of the establishment bear the costs of the party, worth almost R$40,000, and also provide support to the injured, which was not being done, according to family members. "He disappeared, we don't have any kind of contact with him and they issue a note that they are providing assistance to the injured and it's all a lie. My husband and I are paying for helping people who are unable to buy medicine", says the mother. On social media, the Palafita said that it "deeply regrets what happened and that all measures are being taken to guarantee support for the victims" and that it is "carefully investigating the circumstances and collaborating with the competent authorities, in addition to adopting all necessary security measures, in accordance with the determination of the Civil Defense". Palafita also said that it "provides support and solidarity to all customers, participants and families for the inconvenience caused". Inspection in progress With the ban maintained, the Civil Defense must carry out a new inspection to identify the cause of the collapse and check the condition of the property. The city hall also contacted the Municipal Secretariat for Security, Public Order and Mobility (Segbel) to support the incident and isolate the area at the time of the accident. The Civil Police reported that, until the release of the first report, the case had not yet been registered with the police unit responsible for duty in the area. The Fire Department stated that the area was isolated as soon as assistance to the victims began.
