Police investigate death inside a company in Patrocínio Paulista, SP Worker Igor Felipe Galvão, aged 29, died on Monday (6) after being hospitalized for almost two weeks with burns caused by a work accident at a dairy plant in Patrocínio Paulista (SP). According to the Civil Police, the accident happened on June 24, while a pipe was being cleaned at the company. Igor was hit by sodium hydroxide, a product known as caustic soda, and suffered burns on 70% of his body, according to delegate Eduardo Lopes Bonfim, responsible for the case. The company was contacted by g1 after the worker's death, but did not respond to calls or emails until the last update of this report. In a note sent on June 26, before Igor's death, Usina de Laticínios Jussara reported that the emergency protocol was activated immediately, that the worker was rescued and that the priority was to provide medical assistance and support family members. The company also said that it launched an internal investigation to determine the causes of the accident.
