The case took place in the Frade neighborhood during Operation Sicário, aimed at investigating homicides in the region. According to the Civil Police, agents went to the location after finding out about the death of a young man. After police intelligence work, two suspects were identified. Still according to the investigation, the day before the homicide, the suspect, who is identified as a drug trafficking manager, went to the victim's house and removed a gun, which belonged to the young man. He then handed the gun to the woman, seen as a “steam” of the drug trade, who passed it on to the drug dealer's leadership, to prevent the victim from reacting. The Civil Police also reported that after searches, the duo was found and charged with double homicide and association with drug trafficking. The two were taken to the Angra dos Reis police station, where they are at the disposal of the courts. Investigations will continue to find the weapons used in the crime, capture the direct executors and the mastermind. The identities of those involved were not disclosed.
