Vehicle Heloise Hamada/g1 A 72-year-old woman was captured by criminals in her own garage, had her property stolen and was kept in prison for around five hours in a forested area on Friday (17), in Porto Velho. According to the Military Police, the victim was preparing to enter the garage when he was approached by a man. Then, other suspects arrived at the scene and broke into the residence. After the robbery, the elderly woman was taken to a wooded area close to Estrada da Penal, where she remained under threat for around five hours. During the period she was held hostage, the suspects forced her to try to make transfers via Pix. One of the operations, worth R$40,000, was not completed because it was blocked by the bank's application. After around five hours, the criminals changed vehicles and abandoned her near her house. Upon arriving at the residence, the elderly woman asked her neighbors for help, who called the Military Police. The case will be investigated by the Civil Police.
