Fitch Ratings, one of the world's leading risk rating agencies, updated the ratings of the Baser and Sicoper centers, which are part of the Cresol System, in June. According to reports, the centers maintain a high level of credit quality, based on appropriate business profiles, risks and financial expansion. Central Cresol Baser maintained the Long-Term National Rating at 'AA-(bra)', with a Stable Outlook, and the Short-Term National Rating at 'F1+(bra)'. The AA-(bra) level — very high credit quality — was reached in 2025 and maintenance points to the solid business profile, strong capillarity and resilience of the combined financial indicators — factors that support growth plans and capitalization strategies. Central Cresol Sicoper also maintained its 2025 ratings: Long-Term National Rating at 'A-(bra)' — high credit quality — and Short-Term National Rating at 'F2(bra)'. However, Fitch Ratings has revised the Outlook from Stable to Positive. The review of the outlook represents, according to the report, “the tendency towards increased diversification of the system's profitability, resulting from the portfolio's growth strategy, in addition to the expectation of stabilization, at comfortable levels, of the combined capitalization”. Another highlight highlighted in the positive evaluation of Central Sicoper was the progress in consolidating the business and risk profile, “with some incorporations between individual cooperatives that make the system stronger”. Maturity and stability of the system The highest ratings granted by Fitch Ratings are on the “A” scale, where the “A” grade represents high credit quality, “AA” indicates very high credit quality and “AAA” reflects the maximum credit quality. Cresol's Risk Director, Karoline Buss Gesser, states that the analysis demonstrates the maturity of the system: “The results released by Fitch Ratings demonstrate the Cresol System's continued commitment to technical excellence and financial prudence and reflect the maturity of our governance and the effectiveness of responsible risk management, confirming our financial solidity and institutional resilience”. For Karoline, the reports also contribute to the advancement of Cresol in a sustainable way. “The classification is a secure foundation that allows us to advance and expand, fulfilling our mission of promoting the development of our members, with long-term stability”, concludes the director.
