The road connects the municipality to Rodovia Cornélio Pires (SP-147), in Piracicaba (SP). According to the Fire Department, the accident began after a Toyota Corolla and a Fiat Palio collided head-on. A Volkswagen Saveiro was involved in the sequence, hitting cars that were stopped on the track. Only the driver was in the Palio, who had to be intubated while still on site and was taken in serious condition to Santa Casa de Piracicaba. ? One of them was taken to the Rio das Pedras hospital, while the other two, with minor injuries, were taken to Hospital Suppliers de Cana (HFC). There is no confirmed information about their relationship. The two occupants of the Saveiro had minor injuries and, after medical evaluation, were considered to be without serious injuries. According to firefighters, the accident caused closures. The Municipal Guard reported that the road was reopened after the end of the service.
