Couple arrested on suspicion of selling weight-loss and anabolic pens in São José A couple was arrested red-handed this Tuesday morning (21), in São José dos Campos (SP), during a Civil Police operation against the illegal sale of special control and anabolic medications. The action was carried out by police officers from Deic's 2nd Narcotics Investigation Station (Dise), who carried out search and seizure warrants at properties in the Urbanova and Jardim São José neighborhoods. According to the investigation, the couple used social media profiles to advertise and sell high-cost medicines, hormones, anabolic steroids and other pharmaceutical products of unproven origin. ? Among the products were 130 units of testosterone, 37 units of tirzepatide — the active ingredient in Mounjaro —, five units of growth hormone (GH), five units of botulinum toxin, among others. Couple arrested on suspicion of selling weight-loss and anabolic pens via social media in São José Disclosure/Civil Police Equipment used for labeling and printing expiration dates, a thermal printer, packaging, vials, syringes, card machines, four cell phones, documents with notes on the marketing of the products and a vehicle used in the investigated activity were also seized. According to the Civil Police, the quantity of medicines, the way the products were stored and the materials found indicate that there was an organized structure for receiving, preparing and sending the goods. The couple was arrested on suspicion of forgery, corruption, adulteration or alteration of products intended for therapeutic or medicinal purposes.
