Among this year's attractions are Thiaguinho, Sorriso Maroto and Zezé Di Camargo. The event is now in its 42nd edition and is one of the main showcases of the agroeconomy of Northern Fluminense. Last year, Expo Macaé attracted around 300 thousand people during the program and generated an estimated turnover of 24 million reais. In addition to shows and other cultural attractions, more than 660 animals were on display. This year, the expectation is to surpass these milestones. Expo Macaé 2026 brings together entertainment, rural tradition and strengthening agribusiness Ana Chaffin - Communication Programming and Activities In 2026, Expo Macaé will have a diverse program that brings together entertainment, rural tradition and strengthening agribusiness. Right at the entrance to the Exhibition Park, the public can visit the traditional Fazendinha. The environment brings together mini cattle, horses and goats, bringing people of all ages closer to the rural routine and valuing rural education in an interactive way. In the main arena, the highlight is the adrenaline. Strictly following animal welfare and environmental protection standards, rodeos with bull and horse riding take place between the 25th and 29th of July, starting at 8pm. The public will also be able to watch the traditional Three Drums Test every day, always held before the rodeo competitions. Another major attraction on the schedule is the Laço Trial, scheduled for Sunday (26), bringing together competitors from different locations. The winners of both categories will be honored and awarded at the Expo's closing ceremony. The strength of horse breeds highlighted at Expo Macaé 2026 Ana Chaffin - Comunicação Business and Agricultural Exhibition In addition to entertainment, the event will be a showcase for breeders, producers and professionals in the sector. Every day, the public can visit a wide animal exhibition. Between the 25th and 29th of July, the morphology and gait trials of horses of different breeds take place, divided into two shifts: from 8am to 12pm and from 2pm to 10pm, with the finals and awards reserved for the 29th. At the same times, between the 25th and 28th of July, the Nelore cattle trials take place, which include weighing, measuring and zootechnical diagnosis activities. The presentation of the champion animals and the delivery of trophies will also take place on the 29th, from 8 am to 2 pm. Closing the business agenda and aiming to promote the regional economy, the traditional Expo Macaé Auction will be held on Saturday (25), starting at 4pm, opening up excellent commercial opportunities for livestock farming in Northern Fluminense.
