CooperaJá generates income and autonomy for families Credit: Disclosure. Created with the purpose of offering new opportunities for families in situations of social vulnerability, the CooperaJá program emerges as an important tool for productive inclusion, income generation and community strengthening. The initiative was born from the observation of the difficulties faced by many families in the municipality, especially those who benefit from social programs and who have limited access to the job market and income generation opportunities. Given this scenario, the need to develop an action that went beyond traditional assistance, promoting autonomy, dignity and social protagonism, was identified. The main objective of CooperaJá is to provide families benefiting from the municipality's social programs with the possibility of developing activities and services capable of generating income and expanding job opportunities. Furthermore, the program seeks to integrate residents, traders, businesspeople, teachers, technicians and other members of the community into a collaborative network focused on local development. The proposal also aims to strengthen the solidarity economy, encouraging cooperation between participants and valuing existing talents and resources in the community itself. With this, the project contributes to the construction of an economically viable, socially fair and environmentally sustainable society. Among the main needs met by CooperaJá are the generation of income for families in vulnerable situations, the expansion of employment and occupation opportunities, the social inclusion of beneficiaries of assistance programs, professional training and the strengthening of community ties. Another important aspect of the program is encouraging the autonomy of participating families. The initiative seeks to create conditions for beneficiaries to develop their own productive activities, reducing exclusive dependence on social benefits and expanding their prospects for personal and financial growth. By bringing together different sectors of society around a common objective, CooperaJá demonstrates that union, cooperation and sustainable development can generate concrete results for the population, promoting greater quality of life, inclusion and opportunities for all. In addition to generating income, CooperaJá works to develop training and support mechanisms for participants, offering training, technical guidance and incentives for the production and marketing of products and services. As a way to increase visibility and create new business opportunities, the work carried out by program members will be publicized and valued at Mercadão Municipal, strengthening the connection between local producers, entrepreneurs and consumers and boosting the municipality's economy.
