Cloned and stolen car recovered on Via Dutra, in Barra Mansa Disclosure/Federal Highway Police A couple was arrested with a cloned car and stolen in the early hours of this Monday (6), on Via Dutra, in Barra Mansa (RJ). The case happened around 0:50 am, at km 293, on the road towards São Paulo (SP). According to the Federal Highway Police, agents were carrying out a patrol on the stretch when they received information that there was a cloned vehicle passing along the highway. According to the corporation, the car had Contagem (MG) license plates. The car was occupied by a man, aged 29, and a woman, aged 27. He reported that he had already paid R$10,000 and that the remainder would be paid in installments, but he did not present any proof regarding the transaction. During an inspection of the car, several identification items were found that were tampered with, confirming that it was a clone, whereas the original was licensed in Rio de Janeiro. Furthermore, there was a record of theft at the beginning of July of that year, in the capital.
