Hours later, Érika Santos contacted her ex-husband to ask about her son and was informed that the boy had been left at his great-uncles' house. When she arrived at the scene, she found no one. Faced with the situation, the family began searching. According to witnesses, the child was seen holding hands with a man, walking towards the vacant lot covered in weeds. Shortly afterwards, the man would have left the place alone. A family member went to the land and found Peterson Ykaro's body. The cause of death has not yet been identified. Teams from the Criminalistics (IC) and Legal Medical (IML) institutes were called to carry out the examination and collect the body.
