Parents and guardians should look for a UBS or USF with the child's vaccination card so that the vaccination status can be assessed. Depending on vaccination history and current recommendations, some children may require additional doses. "As the number of doses varies according to the vaccines the child has already received, it is important that parents or guardians take the vaccination booklet to the reference health unit. The team will carry out an assessment and advise whether there is a need to receive new doses", explains Camila Cury, supervisor of the Immunization Technical Section. Vaccination will be carried out during the operating period of each health unit. To receive the dose, it is necessary to present the child's document and vaccination booklet. The Department of Health reinforces the importance of keeping vaccinations up to date, ensuring greater protection for children and contributing to the prevention of vaccine-preventable diseases.
