With the justification of reducing the impact on users, the municipal administration decided to increase the subsidy for public transport, which went from R$0.75 to R$1.00 per passenger. In this way, the municipal disbursement will be almost R$20 million. The increase in the subsidy was authorized by the City Council. According to Emdurb, the value review follows technical criteria set out in the public transport contract, taking into account the variation in costs for operating the service, such as fuel, labor, maintenance, parts, inputs and fleet renewal.
