Join the g1 AM channel on WhatsApp According to the ANP, the rating of stations varies from 0 to 5 and is calculated based on the history of infractions related to the quality and quantity of fuel supplied to the consumer, in addition to the results of analyzes carried out by the agency over the last five years.

More than a thousand inspections in five years Data from the ANP show that, between January 2021 and the first half of 2026, 1,823 inspection actions were carried out in the Manaus fuel market. Of this total, 1,263 occurred on the field. Inspections at gas stations represented the majority of actions. There were 1,105 inspections, of which 789 were in-person. In the same period, the agency issued 247 infraction notices and carried out 49 closures at gas stations in the capital of Amazonas. According to the ANP, fined establishments may receive fines ranging from R$5,000 to R$5 million, in addition to temporary suspension or even loss of authorization to operate. Penalties are only applied after the conclusion of an administrative process, with a guarantee of full defense and contradictory proceedings. The ban is a precautionary measure used to protect consumers in cases such as selling fuel outside of specifications or supplying a quantity different from that indicated at the pump. When the problem is corrected, the station can return to operation. How the score is calculated The assessment considers violations and results of fuel analyzes recorded in the last five years. The more recent the irregularity, the greater the negative impact on the grade. The criteria are: Quality or quantity violations recorded in the last two years: weight 2; Infractions due to quality or quantity between two and five years: weight 1; Fuel samples with irregularities in the last two years: weight 1; Samples with irregularities between two and five years: weight 0.5. On the application map, notes are identified by color. The stations with the best rating appear in green, while those with a 0 rating are highlighted in red. How the app works In "ANP com VC - Postos", the consumer can view nearby gas stations using their cell phone's location, search by city or search for a specific establishment using the National Register of Legal Entities (CNPJ). When selecting a station, the user can consult: History of inspections carried out by the ANP in the last five years; Results of fuel quality analyzes; Address, CNPJ and operating authorization status; Origin of the fuel sold; Channel for reporting irregularities and prices considered abusive. According to the ANP, the tool was created to increase transparency in the fuel market and help consumers access information before refueling. MORE
