The measure seeks to strengthen outpatient care and expand patients' access to consultations in areas of greatest demand. Among the specialties covered are cardiology, endocrinology, orthopedics, gynecology, ophthalmology and otorhinolaryngology. With the reinforcement of the teams, the expectation is that around 2,000 specialized services will be provided per month, helping to reduce waiting times for appointments and facilitating the population's access to medium complexity services. The expansion of specialized assistance is part of actions aimed at strengthening the municipality's public health network, allowing greater agility in the diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of patients referred by primary care units.
