Camera records moment when man is shot dead in RO A man investigated on suspicion of killing Diego de Araújo Rodrigues, aged 28, was arrested on Monday morning (13), in Machadinho d'Oeste (RO). During the investigation, the police discovered that there were two outstanding arrest warrants against him, for the crimes of murder and robbery. In addition to complying with court orders, the man was also arrested for illegal possession of a permitted firearm, illegal possession of ammunition, theft and receiving a firearm. According to the PM, the person being investigated was considered a fugitive from justice and was being monitored. After gathering information about the places he used to frequent, the police managed to locate him and arrest him. The suspect was taken to the Machadinho d'Oeste Civil Police Station, where he remains at the disposal of the Justice Department. Monitoring cameras recorded the moment. In the images it is possible to see the victim sitting in a chair, on the sidewalk of a distributor, talking to another man who is sitting next to him. Shortly afterwards, a man comes out of the establishment, takes the gun from his waistband and shoots the victim several times, mainly in the head area. He even points the gun at other people in the area, before fleeing. According to the Military Police (PM), the garrison was called at around 2:07 am, after a woman sought care at the community health center and reported that a man had been shot during an event with a live show. Upon arriving at the scene, the police found the victim with no vital signs, still sitting in the chair. The medical team from the health center was at the establishment and confirmed the death.
