According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the accident happened around 10:15 am, at km 55 of the highway, and involved a head-on collision between a car and a motorcycle. According to the PRF, the suspicion is that the motorcyclist entered the wrong side of the highway. The motorcycle driver died at the scene. He was a farmer and did not have a National Driving License (CNH). The driver of the car was not injured. He took a breathalyzer test, which showed a normal result.
