In the publication, Paulo André stated that the plan was to take the woman to the hospital and accompany her during the birth. Naomi, however, "disagreed" with her parents' plans and was born on July 9, at a bus stop.
"The plan was simple: take the car, get to the hospital and support my worthy wife in those difficult hours of childbirth. After 18 hours of 'doulo' in the first experience, the joke was that, this time, I would need a doula to support me. Naomi disagreed. She was born in the car. Without much warning. No time to rehearse. Teliana and I gave birth right there, with the car parked at a bus stop. She did the impossible. I just tried to be there height", he reported.
The former athlete also described the moments following birth and said that the baby had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck.
"They were the longest minutes of my life. When Naomi slipped into my arms, with the cord wrapped around her neck, the world stopped. I looked for a vital sign. A movement. Any reaction. The entire scene seemed frozen. Imagine, there was someone there completely paralyzed. Purple. Not breathing. Fortunately, it wasn't Naomi. It was her father," he wrote.
Paulo André said that his daughter opened her eyes and looked at him shortly after she was born. "When she opened her eyes and looked at me for the first time, our relationship was defined. I was desperate. She scolded me: 'Someone make this man breathe, for God's sake'", he joked.
"She cried. I cried. She breathed. I breathed. As I returned to the world, Teliana and Naomi were already in absolute harmony, skin to skin. We calmly unwound the cord from around her neck. I took off my t-shirt to keep the little princess warm. I returned to the steering wheel with my hands shaking, my face like a complete idiot and the certainty that this story will get a little bigger each time I tell it", he continued.
"Now there are four of us. Matteo was promoted to big brother. I became a family hero. @telianapereira remained exactly as she always was: the most impressive woman I know. Welcome, Naomi", he concluded.
One day after giving birth, Teliana also published a photo with her daughter on her lap and said, in a good-humored tone, that the baby was in a hurry to be born.
"Hi, world... I'm here! Yesterday was one of those days! Mom and Dad were surprised by my birth... In the car, on the street. Yes, you read that right: I was in a big hurry to see this big world!", she wrote. Afterwards, the former tennis player played with her husband's role in the birth. "And, in the midst of all this adventure, Dad discovered yet another talent: Midwifery. But this story deserves to be told calmly. I promise to come back another day to tell you everything!
