The space will have 385 thousand square meters, 5 thousand square meters of LED panels, 1,314 bathrooms and the capacity to receive more than 100 thousand people per day during the festival. This year's edition is expected to bring together more than 1,300 artists in 190 shows, 45 of which are international attractions, between the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 11th, 12th and 13th of September. During the press presentation, Rock In Rio's marketing director, Ana Deccache, compared the operation to a temporary city. "Considering that we receive 100 thousand fans a day and 30 thousand people working, there are 130 thousand people passing through this city every day. We are talking about a structure larger than the population of most Brazilian municipalities", he stated. According to a study by Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) presented by the organization, Rock in Rio 2026 is expected to generate R$3.3 billion in Rio de Janeiro's economy and generate around 34 thousand jobs. Bigger World Stage and more technology The festival's main stage also gained new numbers in this edition. The World Stage will be 107 meters wide, with 2,400 square meters of LED panels, 200 amplifiers and 24 meters of stage space. According to the organization, only Palco Mundo will contain practically the same amount of LED that the entire Cidade do Rock had in the previous edition. The Sunset Stage will be 93 meters wide, 27.5 meters high and 24 meters wide. Other structures also had details released: New Dance Order: 56.5 meters wide, 22.5 meters high and 502 m² of LED; Favela Space: 75 meters wide, 12 meters high and scenography with 60 houses; Supernova: 30 meters wide, 12 meters high and scenography made up of 60 gears; Global Village: 6 thousand m² area inspired by cities from different continents. Sustainability The organization also highlighted the sustainability actions of the 2026 edition. The festival remains committed to neutralizing 100% of carbon emissions generated in Cidade do Rock, in partnership with the company Axia Emergia.
