Ricardo Spencer Disclosure Ricardo Spencer, director, screenwriter and filmmaker from Bahia, died this Monday (20). The cause of death was not disclosed. Graduated in Arts, the director specialized in Cinema Aesthetics at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), in the United States. In the musical area, his great partner was Pitty, also from Bahia. Spencer was responsible for the music videos for some of the singer's main hits, including "Memórias" and "Me Adora", as well as the DVD "A Trupe Delirante", recorded at the Circo Voador concert hall, in Rio de Janeiro. With Pitty, the director won the Multishow award with the DVD "Chiaroscope" and also competed for the VMB in the clip of the year category "Só Agora". He also worked directing the music video for "Reza", by Rita Lee, "Nostalgia", by the Bahian band Vivendo do Ócio, "Bom Brasileiro", by the band Cachorro Grande, and others. Working on the team of directors at TV Globo, he signed on to direct some series. The first of them, released in 2015, was "Mister Brau", starring Taís Araújo and Lázaro Ramos. The director also worked on "Shippados", "Segunda Chamada", "Todas as Mulheres do Mundo", "Amor e Sorte", "Cine Holliúdy" and "Vermelho Sangue". He was also part of the directing team for the soap opera "Segundo Sol", set in Bahia. The work on "Segunda Chamada" received the award for best series of the year from the São Paulo Association of Art Critics (APCA), in 2020, and was nominated for the 2021 International Emmy Awards in the best series category.
