The influencer was initially diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, a rare type of bile duct cancer, at the age of 23. Since then, she has documented her life for more than 1 million followers on TikTok. She underwent several surgeries, participated in several clinical trials and underwent different types of chemotherapy as the disease progressed.
In May 2026, Sydney posted several videos from the hospital, where her mother remained by her side as she received treatment for pain and other complications related to the disease. On May 17, Towle discovered that his cancer had spread and was present in his peritoneum. His videos on TikTok and Instagram have racked up millions of views. In an interview with “People” magazine, she shared that connecting with and helping others gave her “purpose” amid the difficult experience.
