The event was held at Mercado Pago Hall, at Arena Pacaembu. The gates opened at 8:30 am, but the convention only started around noon, with a speech by the PL's national president, Valdemar da Costa Neto.
At the end of the event, senator Flávio Bolsonaro said he was moved by the expressions of support received throughout the convention, which included a speech by his wife, dental surgeon Fernanda Bolsonaro. Videos recorded by the candidate's brothers, former deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro and former councilor Carlos Bolsonaro, as well as Michelle Bolsonaro, former first lady and national president of PL Mulher, were also shown.
In his speech, Flávio said that, as the eldest son, he continues his father's legacy. Present at the convention, the president of Argentina, Javier Milei, gave a speech lasting around thirty minutes, in which he criticized what he classified as “threats of socialism”.
During his speech, there were problems with the synchronization between the translation shown on the screen and the speech in Spanish, which made it difficult for part of the audience to understand. One of the most surprising moments of the event was the showing of a video generated by artificial intelligence with the image of Jair Bolsonaro, who is under house arrest after being convicted of an attempted coup d'état.
Right at the beginning, the video stated that it had not been recorded by the former president. The strategy sought to circumvent the restrictions imposed by the judicial measure, which prevents him from holding public demonstrations.
