According to the Civil Police, Operation Replay is an offshoot of Operations Apito Final, Fair Play and Tempo Extra. The new phase was structured based on the analysis of telematics data seized in previous investigations.
The technical reports pointed out, according to the police, the continued operation of the criminal organization, with division of tasks, its own financial core, external operators, use of third-party accounts and acquisition of goods in the name of people without compatible economic capacity.
The court decision authorized, in addition to arrests, personal, home and vehicle searches, removal of the confidentiality of electronic devices, sharing of evidence, kidnapping and unavailability of properties and vehicles, in addition to the blocking of financial assets of those being investigated.
The assets affected by the measures were estimated at approximately R$17.2 million. Among them are high-end apartments and houses in Mato Grosso and Santa Catarina, three plots of land and four vehicles.
A financial blockage of up to R$15.324 million was also requested, an amount related to the accounting found during the investigation.
According to the Civil Police, the measures aim to interrupt the continuity of the group's activities, preserve evidence, prevent the dissipation of assets and reach the economic base that supported the criminal organization.
Command even from prison
Another point investigated is the suspicion that WT, despite being held in a maximum security sector of the state prison system, continued to exercise financial and disciplinary command of the faction.
According to the Civil Police, he would have guided free operators and determined the movement of resources even though he was arrested.
The name Replay, according to the investigation, refers to the repetition of criminal conduct and the group's ability to reorganize after previous operations. The new phase seeks to interrupt this cycle, hold those involved accountable and remove from the organization the financial and asset resources used to maintain its activities.
