New Models Boost In North America, deliveries grew 38% in the second quarter, reaching 445 thousand units. The result was driven by the launch and renewal of models such as the Ram 1500 pickup truck with a V8 engine, its high-performance version TRX SRT, as well as the Jeep Grand Wagoneer, Grand Cherokee and the Chrysler Pacifica minivan. According to the company, the performance also reflected preparations for the scheduled production shutdown during the summer in the northern hemisphere. The growth recorded in North America and Europe was partially offset by the drop in deliveries in the Middle East and Africa, affected by the conflict in the region, and in South America, where the downturn in the Argentine market put pressure on results.
