The authorizations were published in an extra edition of the Official Gazette of the Union. At the Federal Revenue, 146 vacancies were authorized, distributed as follows: Tax Analyst: 116 vacancies; Tax Auditor: 30 vacancies. The Central Bank authorized competition for 170 vacancies, including: Central Bank Auditor: 100 vacancies; Central Bank Technician: 50 vacancies; Central Bank Attorney: 20 vacancies.

The ordinances establish that notices must be published within six months. If this deadline is not met, the authorizations will become invalid. After the publication of the notices, the first test can only be administered at least two months later. The appointment of successful candidates will depend on the approval of the final result of the competition and the government's authorization to fill the vacancies. Latest competitions The last Federal Revenue competition was held in 2022. The notice was published in December of that year, with tests administered in March 2023, organized by Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV). In total, 699 higher-level vacancies were offered, with starting salaries of up to R$21,000. The selection remained valid until December 2025. The Central Bank's most recent competition was held in 2024. The notice was published in January of that year, and the objective and discursive tests took place in August, organized by the Brazilian Center for Research in Evaluation and Selection and Event Promotion (Cebraspe). The selection offered 100 immediate vacancies for the position of Analyst, distributed equally between the areas of Economics and Finance and Information Technology, in addition to forming a reserve register.
