Missile integration Also during the Farnborough Airshow, Embraer announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the North American company Anduril to study the integration of the Barracuda-500M cruise missile into the C-390 Millennium military freighter. The project foresees that the weaponry can be launched through palletized systems installed on the aircraft, allowing the simultaneous use of several munitions in military operations. According to the companies, the partnership seeks to expand the operational capabilities of the C-390, making the aircraft capable of carrying out missions with long-range weapons, in addition to the functions it currently performs, such as transporting troops and cargo, medical evacuation, humanitarian missions, firefighting and search and rescue.
