Emmy announces nominees with 'The Pitt' in lead and 'Hacks' record

Among the drama series, “Pluribus” and “The Pitt” were named, which tops the list with its second season. "Hacks" broke the record for the most nominations for a comedy series in a single year, with 24. Previously, "The Studio" and "The Bear" shared the title, with 23 mentions each.

In a miniseries, they compete against "Treta", from Netflix, and "All Her Fault", available on Amazon Prime Video.

Among the actors nominated for an Emmy for the first time are Chase Infiniti, from "The Testaments", Sarah Pidgeon, from "Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette", and Connor Storrie, who was ineligible for the hit "Burning Rivalry" but achieved a nomination as a comedy guest actor for his appearance on "Saturday Night Live".

The broadcast of nominees was led by actress Liza Colón-Zayas, from "The Bear", and actor Jeff Hiller, from "Somewhere".

This year's Emmys will take place on September 14 in Los Angeles and will be hosted by Mariska Hargitay. The "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" actress will be the first woman to command the most important award on American TV in 15 years.
