The weather forecast for this Friday (17), according to Climatempo, maintains a warning for storms in Rio Grande do Sul, with a risk of heavy rain, hail and wind gusts exceeding 90 km/h. At the same time, an atmospheric blockage favors the beginning of a summer period in part of the Center-South of the country, with temperatures above average and a drop in relative humidity.
Check the weather conditions in each region:
South
This Friday, the weather changes significantly in areas of the South region.
The action of a low pressure area over Argentina and Paraguay, associated with the approach of a cold front and intensified by a strong Low Level Jet, increases the transport of heat and humidity towards Rio Grande do Sul, favoring an environment conducive to the formation of storms, with emphasis on gusts of wind.

There is a risk of heavy rain between the Campanha, southwest, southern strip and southern coast of the state, in addition to storms in the extreme south and southern coast, where the situation is dangerous for heavy rain. There is also a likelihood of microexplosions in the Campaign and in the South Zone.
From the early hours of the morning, instability acts on the coast and in the south of Rio Grande do Sul, losing intensity over the period. Between the end of the afternoon and the night, instability increases again on the south coast, south and in Campanha.
In other areas of Rio Grande do Sul, as well as in Santa Catarina and Paraná, the weather remains firm.
The greatest potential for impacts this Friday is associated with intense winds. The regions of the Northwest, Planalto, Central, Missões, Vales, Campanha and South Zone may record gusts between 70 and 90 km/h, with occasionally higher values, mainly in the central region of the state, including areas of Santa Maria, where the north wind is expected to blow persistently and very intensely throughout the day.
In Santa Catarina, especially in the west and extreme south, and also in the west, south and central region of Paraná, gusts between 70 and 90 km/h are expected.
Temperatures remain high due to the action of north and northwest winds, favoring strong warming, with maximum temperatures above 32°C in several areas of Rio Grande do Sul and close to 30°C in Santa Catarina and Paraná.
In Paraná, the predominance of firm weather marks the beginning of a summer period, favored by the action of a mass of dry air and the atmospheric blockage that acts over part of the Center-South of Brazil. Temperatures gradually rise and are expected to remain above average in the coming days, while relative humidity decreases during the afternoon, with rates between 20% and 30% predicted for the northern part of the state.
Southeast
In the Southeast, the influence of an atmospheric block associated with a high pressure system over the South Atlantic, close to the region's coast, keeps the weather stable in a large part of the region and favors the beginning of a summer period, especially over the state of São Paulo, where temperatures are already starting to be between 3°C and 5°C above the average for this time of year.
This pattern also prevents the advancement of instabilities.
Only on the coast of Espírito Santo and in the northeast of Minas Gerais is there a possibility of light and isolated rain at some times of the day.
The predominance is sun between few clouds and there is no significant rain forecast in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo.
The mornings remain mild in some areas and there is a chance for occasional frosts in Serra da Mantiqueira.
Throughout the afternoon, temperatures rise quickly, favoring a large temperature range, while in the east of São Paulo, south and central-east of Minas Gerais, south of Espírito Santo and the interior of Rio de Janeiro the day remains more pleasant.
Relative air humidity remains under observation in the northern half of São Paulo, southwest, east and Metropolitan Region of São Paulo, Triângulo Mineiro and western half of Minas Gerais, with rates between 20% and 30% during the hottest hours of the day.
The winds also gain intensity in part of the São Paulo coast due to the strengthening of atmospheric circulation.
Midwest
In the Central-West, the weather remains firm over Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul and the Federal District, with a predominance of sunshine, under the influence of a dry and stable air mass.
The summer weather gains strength over Mato Grosso do Sul and the south of Goiás, favoring temperatures between 3°C and 5°C above the average for this time of year and reinforcing the dry weather condition in the region.
In Mato Grosso, the heat and transport of Amazonian moisture favor isolated rain showers, mainly in the north, northwest and west of the state, which may occur weakly to moderately and, occasionally, stronger, especially in the northwest.
In other areas, the weather remains dry.
During the afternoon, temperatures increase in the region, while in the east of Goiás and the Federal District the arrival of milder winds favors a more pleasant day.
Relative air humidity remains low in Goiás, Federal District, east of Mato Grosso do Sul, east of Mato Grosso and southeast of Mato Grosso. In some parts of western Goiás, rates can be between 12% and 20%.
Wind gusts can vary between 50 and 70 km/h in the south, west and southwest of Mato Grosso do Sul.
Northeast
In the Northeast, maritime circulation and the action of a cold front at the height of the coast maintain greater cloudiness and rain over the eastern part of the region.
The showers intensify between the coast of Salvador and the south of Bahia, in addition to the coastal strip of Sergipe, Alagoas, Pernambuco, Paraíba and Rio Grande do Norte, where they can occur moderately to strongly, with a risk of storms and flooding in some points.
The situation is dangerous for heavy rain between the coastal strip of Alagoas and Paraíba, with the possibility of disruption.
Between the coastal strip of Maranhão, Piauí and Ceará, instabilities decrease and may occur weakly at times,
