Rain gains strength again and could exceed 100 mm at the end of the week; see where

The forecast for this week indicates firm weather in the South region, rising temperatures in the Southeast from Wednesday and heat accompanied by low humidity in areas of the Central-West, Northeast and North. At the end of the week, the rain gains strength again in Rio Grande do Sul, while in the Northeast, precipitation continues to be concentrated on the coast.

South

The advance of a mass of polar air leaves the weather firm in the three states of the region, with few clouds throughout the week. Only the coast can record light and isolated rain because of the moisture coming from the sea.

There is also a chance of frost in mountainous areas, in the south of Paraná, in the interior of Santa Catarina and in Campanha Gaúcha. Temperatures remain mild during the day, while northern Paraná will experience slightly more intense heat.

Dry weather favors work in the field until Thursday, however, from Friday onwards, thunderstorms are expected in Rio Grande do Sul again, with volumes of rain that could exceed 100 millimeters until Sunday, which could make agricultural activities difficult.

Southeast

The rain continues on the coast of Espírito Santo and may also occur lightly during the morning on the coast of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

During the day, the forecast is for moderate to heavy showers in the northern half of São Paulo, in the center-south and Triângulo Mineiro, as well as rain with the possibility of isolated thunderstorms in Rio de Janeiro and the center-south of Espírito Santo.

Temperatures are lower in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, south-central Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo. From Wednesday onwards, the heat will gradually increase again, with maximum temperatures between 34°C and 35°C in the west of São Paulo and in the Triângulo Mineiro. In the field, the forecast is favorable for the harvest of second crop corn, cotton, coffee and sugar cane.

Midwest

The rain continues in areas of the north, east and interior of Mato Grosso do Sul, in addition to the southeast of Mato Grosso and the southern half of Goiás, with the possibility of thunderstorms in some places.

In the north and west of Mato Grosso there is also a forecast of rain. In other areas of the region, including the Federal District, the weather remains firm, with a predominance of sun and low air humidity.

Temperatures rise in much of the region throughout the week. In Mato Grosso do Sul, in the south of Goiás and in the south of Mato Grosso, the days will be milder. Hot and dry weather should favor the harvest of second crop cotton and corn, while temperatures could reach 38°C in the triple-border areas between the states.

Northeast

The rain remains concentrated on the coast, with quick showers between Rio Grande do Norte and Pernambuco, in addition to the coast of Ceará and southern Bahia.

Inland, the weather remains dry, with lots of sun and low air humidity. The largest volumes of rain of the week are restricted to the coast, with accumulations of between 20 and 30 millimeters.

The west of Bahia, the center-south of Maranhão and the center-south of Piauí remain on alert for the risk of fire outbreaks. In these areas, air humidity must be below 30%, while temperatures can reach between 38°C and 39°C.

North

The heat and humidity favor rain showers in much of the region, mainly in Amazonas, Pará, Amapá, Roraima, Acre and Rondônia. In the western region of Amazonas, there is a risk of storms.

In Tocantins and part of Pará, the weather remains firm and with low air humidity. Acre and Rondônia should only record rapid, low-volume rain.

The south of Pará and Tocantins remain on alert for the risk of fires. The forecast indicates few volumes of rain, temperatures above 38°C and relative humidity below 30% in the coming days.
