The cold front advances towards the ocean this Tuesday (7), but still influences the weather in part of the coast of the South and Southeast regions. Meanwhile, a new mass of polar air gains strength over central-southern Brazil, causing a drop in temperatures and increasing the risk of frost, especially in Rio Grande do Sul.
According to Climatempo, the trend is for more stable weather in most of the country, with emphasis on low air humidity in areas of the Central-West, interior of the Northeast and Tocantins.
South
The cold front maintains rain between the coast of Paraná and the north of Santa Catarina during the morning, with showers of moderate to strong intensity. However, instabilities lose strength throughout the day, giving way to firm weather prevailing in most of the region.
The arrival of the polar air mass favors a strong drop in temperatures. Thermometers may remain close to or below 0°C in areas of Rio Grande do Sul, where there is a forecast of widespread frost across practically the entire state, including the North, West, Northwest, Center, Southwest, Campanha, South, Vales and Costa Doce regions.
There is also a possibility of frost in the center-west of Santa Catarina and in the south and southwest of Paraná. During the afternoon, the weather remains sunny and with mild temperatures.
Southeast
In the Southeast, the cold front still favors rain in the south and coast of São Paulo from the early hours of the day. Throughout Tuesday, instability continues to affect the coast of São Paulo, the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo, the interior and east of the state, in addition to the south of Rio de Janeiro, Grande Rio and the Zona da Mata of Minas Gerais, with rainfall of light to moderate intensity.
It may also rain separately on the rest of the coast of Rio de Janeiro and in the south of Espírito Santo.
The cold air mass maintains lower temperatures in the center-south of São Paulo and in the south of Minas Gerais. The extreme north and northwest of São Paulo and the Triângulo Mineiro remain hot in the afternoon.
Another highlight is the low relative humidity in the west and north of Minas Gerais, where rates can be below 30%. Wind gusts between the north coast of São Paulo and the Lagos Region, in Rio de Janeiro, vary between 50 and 70 km/h.
Midwest
The action of a dry air mass continues to prevent the formation of rain clouds in practically the entire Central-West Region.
The predominance is sun between few clouds in Mato Grosso, Goiás and the Federal District. Only the south and southwest of Mato Grosso and a large part of Mato Grosso do Sul feel the effects of the polar air mass, with milder temperatures.
During the afternoon, relative air humidity remains at critical levels in Goiás, the Federal District and central-east of Mato Grosso, mainly in the west and north of Goiás and in the east of Mato Grosso, where rates can vary between 12% and 20%.
Northeast
In the Northeast, instability decreases in part of the east coast, but the circulation of maritime humidity still maintains conditions for rain between Salvador and Ilhéus, on the coast of Bahia, where moderate to strong showers may occur.
There is also a forecast of heavy rain in the north of Maranhão and moderate precipitation on the coast of Piauí and Ceará.
In the interior of the region, the weather remains firm due to the action of a dry air mass. In addition to the heat, low humidity is a concern in areas of western Bahia, southern Maranhão, Piauí, Ceará, western Pernambuco and Paraíba, with rates between 12% and 20% in some locations.
North
In the North Region, the operation of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ZCIT), associated with heat and high humidity, maintains conditions for rain showers in Roraima, with the possibility of storms.
There is also a forecast of moderate to heavy rain in Amapá, northern Amazonas and in areas of the north, coast and northeast of Pará. The risk of storms is greater in the northwest of Amazonas and in the area between Tefé and Manaus.
On the other hand, Tocantins, Rondônia, Acre and the center-south of Pará and Amazonas remain in firm weather. In Tocantins, relative air humidity can drop to values ??between 20% and 30% during the afternoon.
