RIO DE JANEIRO, RJ (FOLHAPRESS) - Neymar didn't visit, didn't make a counteroffer or try to negotiate the price of the house where he lives in Santos. A video call made by one of the "parties" was enough for the attacker to buy the property, valued at around R$50 million, with 2,800 square meters and ten suites, located in Morro Santa Terezinha, at the beginning of 2025.

The person who told the behind-the-scenes of the negotiation was businessman Luiz Moura, former owner of the residence, during his appearance on the podcast Fala, Lazinho. According to him, it all started when a broker showed up saying he had an interested client. The conversation seemed promising, but the owner of the house only believed it when a guy who came to look at the property asked to record the view and started a video call.

"He said 'Ney'. At the time I thought: 'Is it really Neymar?'", he recalled saying that there were rumors that the player was looking for a property in the region. Confirmation came soon after. Later that day, the broker informed that a lawyer would get in touch to provide the documentation, starting the purchase process.

The final stage was even more surprising. Luiz said that he would only sign the deed after seeing the money in the account. Didn't have to wait long. "My lawyer talked about the payment and, at the same time, Pix fell. I left the house practically with just the clothes on my back", he joked.

The expression "closed door", common in the rural market, gained a beach version. Neymar took practically everything from the property: furniture, appliances, bedding, towels, crockery and decoration items. The only impasse involved the businessman's son's collection of 15 motorcycles.

The guy responsible for the video call resolved the issue within a few minutes. He showed the vehicles to the player, who decided to keep everything. "My son thought it was a conversation to lower the price of the house, but he paid the price anyway. It was all a collector's bike and no one argued. The bikes now belong to Neymar", said Luiz.

The striker, who said goodbye to the Brazilian team in the game against Norway for the 2026 World Cup, has houses in Mangaratiba and Santos, a luxury apartment in Balneário Camboriú, as well as a seafront property project between Pernambuco and Alagoas. In the coming weeks, he should receive the Enejota, a yacht valued at around R$120 million that is among the largest leisure boats ever produced in Brazil.
