In a post on Instagram, the singer admitted that he made a mistake and acknowledged that his actions hurt those close to him.
"In recent days, many people have followed an episode from my personal life. I could talk about versions, interpretations or circumstances. But honestly that's not the most important thing right now," he wrote. "What really matters is that my actions disappointed people who didn't deserve to go through this."
Afterwards, Arlindinho apologized to his ex-girlfriend and stated that she did not deserve to go through the situation. The singer also said that he has sought professional help to face the consequences of his choices.
"Érika, I want to apologize publicly. And I reaffirm here what I said personally. I'm sorry for having disappointed you. I have a lot of respect for your story and for the woman you are. This episode made me see some things that I need to look at with more courage. I'm already looking for this path, with the support of professionals, my family and my faith. It's in her that I find the strength to face this moment, assume the consequences of my choices and try to be a better man every day", he stated.
