Gavi dyes his hair pink after Spain's World Cup title

“Man of his word”, wrote the player when publishing images of the new look on Wednesday (5).

Why did Gavi dye her hair pink?

Before the start of the World Cup, Gavi had promised to change his hair color if Spain won the tournament. The team confirmed the title by beating Argentina 1-0 in the final, held in the United States.

The player, however, waited almost a month to fulfill the agreement. When he appeared with fuchsia-pink hair, he received comments from Barcelona teammates, national team players and fans.

New look resonates on social media

The publication quickly gained prominence and began to circulate among pages dedicated to football. Internet users remembered the promise made by the Spaniard and praised the fact that he kept his word.

Other world champions also made commitments before the competition. Marc Cucurella, for example, promised to tattoo the face of coach Luis de la Fuente holding the cup.

Spain won the 2026 World Cup

The Spanish team won its second world title by defeating Argentina 1-0 in the final. The winning goal was scored by Ferran Torres, after an assist from Nico Williams.

Gavi was part of the champion squad and, after ending the celebration on the field, he transformed the promise made before the tournament into a new attraction off it.
