With a surprise from Ana Castela and Mari Fernandez, Matheus & Kauan celebrate 15 years on the road in Barretos, SP

The celebration of a decade and a half of his career could not have a more emblematic setting. In the early hours of this Friday (21), Matheus & Kauan transformed the Festa do Peão de Barretos arena into an open-air choir. In about two hours of show, the brothers combined nostalgia and charisma on the main stage, in a night marked by harmony with the public and unexpected visits that rocked the night. Singers Ana Castela and Mari Fernandez, who were watching the performance directly from their box, were unexpectedly invited by the hosts to go on stage. In an atmosphere of pure relaxation and complicity, the quartet created partnerships, danced and infected the audience. Together, they even lay down on the floor of the stage while singing choruses of great hits. "I've never seen singing lying down", joked Matheus. "It's good for the diaphragm", added Ana Castela. Connection in the arena The start of the duo's performance came with "Decide Aí", a moment in which the arena immediately responded with hats in the air and arms raised. The repertoire continued with indispensable classics from the history of country music, such as "Quarta Cadeira" and "Vou Ter Que Superar", as well as tracks marked by feats with big names in the genre, such as Jorge & Mateus. Excited by the energy of the event, Matheus guaranteed that the party would not end at the end of the presentation. The singer promised to spend the night at the famous Parque do Peão campsite, repeating the tradition of colleagues like Nattan and Luan Pereira. Tribute and memory The festive tone gave way to an atmosphere of strong sensitivity when the duo called composer Luiz Henrique Paloni to the stage. The moment served to honor the story behind the hit "Que Sorte a Nossa", written by Luiz Henrique alongside Paula Mattos and his brother Fernando Paloni, who passed away in 2015 due to leukemia. The memory moved the arena and brought the composer to tears. "Thank you, Matheus & Kauan, for immortalizing this song so special to me", declared Luiz Henrique to a loud ovation from the public. Warming up for the Ambassador When singing the verses of "Mala dos Porta-Mala", a partnership launched with Gusttavo Lima, the brothers took the opportunity to demonstrate their anticipation for the Minas Gerais show at the Barretos arena. In a joking tone, the duo confessed that they wanted to postpone their commitments on Saturday (22) just to follow closely, as fans, the presentation of "Ambassador". Gusttavo Lima will perform twice at the event on the 22nd and 29th.
