The union opened an investigation to determine the cause of the failure. The investigation will assess whether there was wear on parts, maintenance errors or problems with road conditions. The Campinas Municipal Development Company (Emdec) stated that the bus underwent maintenance on Friday afternoon, after the incident. The agency highlighted that the vehicle had been inspected in June and had a valid license until December 2026. Emdec explained that, in cases like this, it is necessary to carry out a new complete inspection to identify the cause of the problem and check all components. The bus will remain out of service until the defects are resolved. According to Emdec, there was already a plan to replace the 210 line articulated vehicles with conventional models.
