According to Jeferson Henrique, manager of the Dam Safety Department, there are more than 1,600 instruments used to monitor the condition of the structure. “Here in Tucuruí, we have more than 1,600 instruments that are routinely monitored, which provide us with information to assess the safety and health of the structure,” he explained.
