Training to strengthen women’s protection network

Rio das Ostras qualifies teams from the Secom women's service network The Department of Development and Social Assistance held, this Wednesday, the 5th, an intermunicipal training aimed at technical teams from the Specialized Women's Assistance Center (CEAM) and the Maria da Penha Patrol in Rio das Ostras, Casimiro de Abreu and Rio Bonito. The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Municipal Pedagogical Management Center. The training was led by Patrícia Xavier, advisor to the Advisory and Training Center of the State Secretariat for Women, and included the participation of the Undersecretary of Social Development, Clécia Andrade, and the coordinator of the Maria da Penha Patrol, Tamiris Miranda. During the training, the flow of care for women in situations of violence, the importance of unified protocols and the integrated action of the protection network were discussed. The role of Women's Policy Organizations (OPMs) and CEAM were also addressed. The speaker highlighted that effective public policies need to be built based on data and have resources for their implementation. Another point emphasized was the need to continually qualify the network's professionals to guarantee humanized and efficient service. For Clécia Andrade, training strengthens the work of professionals and contributes to improving the women's service network. “Moments like this are important to strengthen partnerships and guarantee increasingly qualified care for women in situations of violence”, he guaranteed. According to Tamiris Miranda, integration between services is essential to offer more efficient reception to women. "Networking makes a difference. The more prepared and articulated the professionals are, the better the service offered to women who need support", he added. The training aimed to strengthen integration between Municipalities and improve care for women in situations of violence, promoting more coordinated action between services in the region.
