With the reduction, consumers in the city started paying R$599.72 for essential products. The data comes from a survey carried out by the Economics Board of the Faculty of Petrolina (Facape). During the month, the product was around 35% cheaper compared to June. Bananas also recorded a significant drop, with a reduction of 5.7%. The research also highlights that beef became 3.29% cheaper. The survey explains that high prices in the last 12 months forced consumers to look for other proteins. This reduced demand for beef and, consequently, brought down prices.
