Teenager found in a plastic bag in Maceió was killed for revenge, police say

Suspect is caught transporting and disposing of a woman's body in Jacintinho, in Maceió The Alagoas Civil Police concluded the investigation into the death of Maria Vitória Cardoso da Silva, 15 years old, found inside a plastic bag in the Jacintinho neighborhood, in Maceió. The investigation by the 5th Segment of the Homicide and Personal Protection Police Station of the Metropolitan Region of Maceió analyzed images from security cameras, statements and expert examinations to reconstruct the teenager's last moments. According to the Civil Police, Maria Vitória was approached by a 31-year-old woman, who held her by the arm and took her to another part of the region. The investigation showed that the murder occurred as revenge for the death of “Binho”, recorded on April 22, also in Jacintinho. According to police, the man responsible for taking the body believed he was helping to dispose of a dog's body. Afterwards, he was threatened by drug dealers in the region, who prevented him from leaving his house and forced him to get rid of the clothes he wore that day, in an attempt to make it difficult for him to be identified through security cameras.
