Teenager arrested after stabbing student during fight in Indaiatuba

According to the police report, the Military Police were called to contain the confusion on Rua Reverendo Ataídes Costa, close to the city's 1st Police District (DP). When police arrived at the scene, they did not find the students involved. Witnesses, however, reported that the victim, also 17 years old, had been rescued and taken to the Morada do Sol Emergency Care Unit (UPA). At the health unit, the medical team found that the teenager had four wounds on his back and one on his chest caused by blows from a knife. The young man told the police the name of the person responsible for the attacks. Also according to police records, the suspect was located in the company of his father and brother. He claimed to have used the knife to defend himself after receiving a punch from the other student. The weapon was not found. The teenager was taken to the police station, where the case was registered as an infraction analogous to the crime of attempted murder. He was then taken to a Casa Foundation unit.
