Usina Viva promotes free programming with lectures, music, theater and arraiá in Nova Friburgo during the month of August

The activities have as their central theme "Future and Artificial Intelligence", but also value traditional cultural manifestations and local and national artistic production. During the meeting, the public will discuss the use of artificial intelligence in cultural production, addressing issues such as ethics, preservation of memory and strengthening identities through technology. Also on the 8th, at 7pm, the musical project Luminosa welcomes singer and composer Dartaian, who presents a repertoire of original songs with influences from MPB and reggae. On Monday (11), classes begin at the Dramaturgy in Practice workshop, led by screenwriter and playwright Jeyce Valente. The activity is part of the project's training axis and is aimed at artists, students and those interested in developing creative processes. On August 28th, at 7pm, the show "Cora do Rio Vermelho" will be presented, first selected by the Public Call Usina Viva 2026/2027. The monologue, starring Raquel Penner, portrays the life and work of writer Cora Coralina. The production has already visited more than 20 Brazilian cities and received the Cenym Award for Best Monologue of the Year. Closing the month's program, on August 29th, from 3pm to 9pm, Usina Cultural Energisa hosts Arraiá Usina Viva, with musical performances, cultural events and attractions linked to popular traditions. Among the highlights are the group Mineiro Pau de Salinas, the show Boi de Luz, by Lumiar, and the group Forró das Cumadres. All activities are free. Tickets for performances will be distributed on site one hour before the start of each event.
