Bus accident leaves dead and injured in the West of SC An accident with an excursion bus left 3 dead and several injured in the early hours of this Wednesday (15), on SC-492, between the cities of Maravilha and São Miguel da Boa Vista, in the West of Santa Catarina. According to the Fire Department, 67 people were inside the vehicle. The vehicle had Paraguayan license plates and was returning from Gramado (RS), bound for Villa Rica, also in Paraguay, according to the Military Police. A child, whose age was not given, was taken by helicopter by the Aeropolice Service (Saer) to a hospital in the region due to his injuries. Images released from the scene show the bus on its side (see the video above). In addition to the Maravilha firefighters, the region's Civil Police and Scientific Police were sent to the scene to respond to the accident. The names of the victims had not been released until the last update of this report.
