The crime took place in March this year, in Itapiranga. With the arrest, there are now three investigators detained in the case. The arrest was carried out by teams from the 45th Interactive Police Station (DIP) of Urucará and the 38th Interactive Police Station (DIP) of Itapiranga. According to the Civil Police of Amazonas (PC-AM), the suspect was located in the Grande Vitória neighborhood, where he was a fugitive from justice. According to the police, the businessman was approached by four men in front of his own residence, in the Jardim Primavera neighborhood. The victim was taken in his own vehicle to a forested area in the rural area of ??the municipality, where he was kept under the criminals' control and forced to make bank transfers. In addition to the R$19,500 taken from the victim's account, the suspects stole a Toyota Hilux pickup truck, a cell phone and a gold chain. After the robbery, the businessman was shot in the head and back and abandoned by the criminals. Despite the severity of his injuries, he survived and was able to receive medical attention. The investigations also showed that, the day after the crime, one of the suspects identified as masterminds of the action determined that the money initially transferred to the account of an accomplice was transferred to his own bank account.
