Davi Davino Filho (Republicans) Davi Davino Filho (Republicans) candidate for the Senate for Alagoas. Assessoria Davi Davino Filho is a businessman and was a state deputy for two consecutive terms. During his time in the Alagoas Legislative Assembly, he coordinated the Youth Parliamentary Front and chaired the Science and Technology Commission. In 2020, he ran for Mayor of Maceió. Two years later, he ran for the Senate and finished in second place. The new candidacy for the position was confirmed by the Republicans during the party convention held on Tuesday (5). José Wanderley (MDB) José Wanderley (MDB) candidate for the Senate for Alagoas. Advice José Wanderley Neto, known as Dr. Wanderley, is a cardiologist and professor at the Federal University of Alagoas (Ufal). He was also state secretary of Health and directed services linked to cardiovascular surgery in Alagoas. In politics, he was state deputy and vice-governor of Alagoas on two occasions. In 2022, he was indirectly elected by the Legislative Assembly to complete the term alongside governor Paulo Dantas. The candidacy for the Senate was confirmed by the MDB at the convention held on Tuesday (5). Renan Calheiros (MDB) Senator Renan Calheiros (MDB-AL) candidate for the Senate for Alagoas. Pedro França/Agência Senado Renan Calheiros is a lawyer and senator from Alagoas. He began his political career as a state deputy, then served as a federal deputy and participated in the National Constituent Assembly responsible for drafting the 1988 Constitution. Elected senator for the first time in 1994, Renan served four terms and presided over the Senate on four occasions. He was also Minister of Justice during the government of Fernando Henrique Cardoso. The candidacy for re-election was confirmed by the MDB at the party's state convention.
